On processing of full-scale tests' results considering trajectory observations of manoeuvres

The new approach to processing of full-scale experiments' results on vessel manoeuvring has been proposed. It includes more complete using of the manoeuvre trajectory information, that allows to obtain all kinematic characteristics. The processing uses a spline-approximation of the trajectory parametrized by time, and allows to smooth the influence of the observation result errors to some extend. However, the method claimes a rather rigid requirements to the level of these errors and it leads to the further perfecting of the vessel observation tools (for example, using of DGPS or GPS P-code).

The calculation model of strike risk at mooring

The paper considers the possibility of the strike of vessels moored to each other in the open sea from the point of view of their safety. The dependences defining mathematical expectation of a part of the moored vessel trajectory leading to a dangerous approach of vessels and possible strike have been obtained. The model of an interval estimation has been designed for increasing the veracity of the strike prediction.

On application of the method of active experiment planning for the vessel complex identification

The statistical methods of the vessel complex (VC) identification as a management object have been considered in the paper. The comparative characteristic of the active and passive experiments when producing the VC mathematical model using the experimental data has been given. The demands to the factors and their aggregate for the active experiment have been given as well. The vessel complex in this case has been understood as an aggregate of the following objects: vessel, engine, mover, rudder and means of active management.

An algorithm of calculation of geometric parameters of underwater and above-water parts of a vessel

The solution of a number of practical and theoretical tasks concerning determination of the vessel navigability requires rather extensive calculations of parameters depending on geometric characteristics of underwater and above-water parts of a vessel. The author has proposed an algorithm of calculation of vessel hydrodynamic and aerodynamic characteristics on the basis of its theoretical and general drafts. The algorithm has been worked out for parameters of the mathematical model of the "Astrakhan" type tanker.

On calculation of minimum allowable tanker speed at mooring at windy weather

The navigator should possess sufficient knowledge concerning vessel behaviour in different navigation conditions. To determine the minimum allowable speed of the vessel movement under conditions of wind influence is of great importance for safe mooring. The paper considers the solution of this task as applied to the conditions of point mooring of a tanker to a buoy which is an element of the tanker connecting device to the oil-pipe line.
